BlogFor the last month or so, I've been watching Pokémon regularly on Cartoon Network. I think mainly because it's one of the few shows I know the times for (8:30 - 9:30, M-F). The mindless action scenes and corny life lessons are also a big attraction in terms of relaxation. When I watch movies, I like deep plotlines and well developed characters. A 30 minute show just doesn't have enough time to properly achieve that, but some try. Fortunately, Pokémon is not one that tries. It's just a simple entertaining cartoon that I currently watch almost religiously. Sifting through my old media archives, I found the
Otaku Vengeance Pokémon Video. Good video regardless of your stance on the cartoon.
The
BlackNova game on this server has been reset. 5000 sectors, 500 planets, and slower turn accumulation. The reset was desperately needed to fix various database issues, not the least of which was incorrect ranking calculation. If you've never played the game before, now's a good time. In a few weeks the regular players will be back to their bully status. Hopefully with 2000 more sectors this time it will be easier to hide from them.

Today, between 4:10pm and 4:30pm EST there was a light blue early model Taurus station wagon
parked in my driveway. I haven't found a single thing missing, but I did find footsteps in the back near my electrical meter, so it's possible they were just a meter checker. Why they would drive a blue taurus and stay for almost half an hour I don't know, but I have no other explination.
"Have you seen this car?"
Almost 5 years ago, I frequented the house of
Lomar (or rather his parents) on a regular basis. Activities involved everything from driving to Belleville for the elusive "cows" taffy candy, to watching his mastery of "Resident Evil" for the playstation. It doesn't feel like 5 years since I was in his room listening to Depeche Mode and pondering life after high school, but time has flown by and I see Lomar less and less. I met
Lomar as a Sophomore when I noticed he had "Kings Quest" diskettes. This started a conversation that eventually got me into
BBS'ing and various other entertaining activities. Now,
Lomar is engaged. I'm definately starting to feel old. Perhaps a trip to Belleville is in order.
The last eyesore on my house is now gone. Today my single-pane heat-leaking front bay window is being replaced by a double-pane insulated sliding one. The update completes my window replacements throughout the whole house. The contractors that replaced my wood floor had a sweet price so I had to take it. Check out their progress on the
Gnome CamAfter I got home from work it started raining really hard then turned to hail. The weather channel had a tornado warning and the air-raid siren was going off. It was looking to be the first big storm of the season. I got all excited watching and hoping for a tornado, or at least some decent sized hail and heavy winds. After awhile though it just turned to rain, then eventually nothing. All that excitement for nothing. I'm hoping we get at least a few good storms before summer is out. All that winter almost made me forget how cool summer storms are.
A group of friends and I went to see
X-Men 2 Friday and it was awesome. Very good storyline and of course special effects. The movie definately left a good intro into a third movie, so I'm guessing X3 will be out in the next couple of years. Until then, there's the Matrix: Reloaded coming up.
I just got my
Kyocera 7135 Palm Phone in the mail and finally customized it how I want. My previous phone was the Kyocera 6035, a generation before this, that combined my PDA and CellPhone into one handy unit. This new version does that and adds an MP3/Video player, GPS Locator, and has a color screen to boot. I also get the 1x data network for 144k/s download speeds. All of this in a small form-factor that clips to my belt. The future is simplicity, and with my new Kyocera 7135, the future is now!
The past few nights, when opening my garage and staring at my beautiful
Supercharged Cougar, I've noticed small stains on the cement that line up with the supercharger compressor. Needless to say I'm not happy about it, but the stains have no smell, and only a slight color (leading me to believe it's just harmless condensation). To be on the safe side though, I'm calling Vortech and asking them about it. I have another 6 months left on my warranty and I want to get it fixed if it is indeed a problem. Fortunately this only happens on cool-down (suggesting my condensation theory is correct) and no noticeable performance issues have occured. Still, my paranoid nature makes me panic over the stains. Hopefully Vortech will hold my hand and make it all better.
