BlogI just got my
Kyocera 7135 Palm Phone in the mail and finally customized it how I want. My previous phone was the Kyocera 6035, a generation before this, that combined my PDA and CellPhone into one handy unit. This new version does that and adds an MP3/Video player, GPS Locator, and has a color screen to boot. I also get the 1x data network for 144k/s download speeds. All of this in a small form-factor that clips to my belt. The future is simplicity, and with my new Kyocera 7135, the future is now!
The past few nights, when opening my garage and staring at my beautiful
Supercharged Cougar, I've noticed small stains on the cement that line up with the supercharger compressor. Needless to say I'm not happy about it, but the stains have no smell, and only a slight color (leading me to believe it's just harmless condensation). To be on the safe side though, I'm calling Vortech and asking them about it. I have another 6 months left on my warranty and I want to get it fixed if it is indeed a problem. Fortunately this only happens on cool-down (suggesting my condensation theory is correct) and no noticeable performance issues have occured. Still, my paranoid nature makes me panic over the stains. Hopefully Vortech will hold my hand and make it all better.
The company I work for has annual vacation trips for all employees. At first it was just Cedar Pointe trips, then nothing at all, but for last year and this, we were sent to Las Vegas. Instead of gambling away my money, this time two friends and I decided to trek to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon (8hr round trip drive). Although the drive was long, it was relaxing compared to Michigan drives. The desert is definately my choice for commuting.
Here are Pictures from the trip. It was alot of fun, and hopefully I'll be able to go back and spend more time at both places.
In a
previous update, I posted the latest internet fad, the line "It's a Trap!" from Admiral Ackbar in Star Wars. This reminded me of the famous
Terrible Secret of Space and of course, "All Your Base Are Belong to Us." Internet originated comedy is the only kind that can make me laugh for days without really understanding why.
InternetMenace came back from Florida for a visit so we decided to have a going away party for Enorym. As you can see the alien baby in a jar played a key part in the festivities. We watched "Rat Race" and InternetMenace got to peel out in Stavos' Trans Am.
Party PhotosI have a written final in Criminology on Monday, and a multiple choice/short answer exam in Computer Networking on Thursday. I also have a court appointment for my speeding ticket the same day as my networking exam. Lots to look forward to this coming week. Fortunately the weather will be crappy this weekend so I might actually get some studying done.
I'm already addicted and I only got 4 runs.
Here is my second run of the day, along with the
photos. Enorym and I met Reptar at the event, who had AutoX'd before. I managed a 49.8 time, which wasn't all that bad. Hopefully SCCA will have the results up on their website and I can see how I did overall.
This morning I woke up to find a dead squirrel on the road in front of my house. I'll probably go to hell for it, but I took the following picture before I scooped him up and put him in a nearby woods.
Yep, I'm a sicko.
Tonight
Enorym and I installed my rear sway bar and swapped to my 225 size tires in preperation for my AutoX event Sunday. Thanks to a well done
how-to, it was pretty straightforward. It is definitely one of the most over-engineered parts I've ever put on my car. Supposedly it was designed for the never-realized Cougar S (ST200 in Europe). It even has Ford part numbers on it. Too bad they cancelled it, with this kind of engineering on the strut bar, I can imagine the whole car would've been awesome.
