camping trip in Canada, I forgot to bring my
gnome back with me. Fortunately he wound up staying with some very good friends and they now send me pictures of my roaming gnome. Judging from the
most recent photos, I'd say he's having a wonderful time. Cheerio, and so forth.
My
fiance and I spent yesterday cleaning the
new house and today I mowed the lawn and finished cleaning. I also found the original development brochure for the house which had some useful floorplans included. Now that the house is clean and the lawn mowed I'm getting excited about moving. Oct 23rd is the planned date when I'll activate my friends for the big move.

Today was
Steve and Candys Wedding and I was the best man. That meant that during the ceremony I was heavily armed and ready to defend the bride and groom against any potential rival village attacks. Fortunately, there were none and I was never forced to engage in battle. There was, however, a large fire in their honor. What turned out to be the
Yankee Air Museum burning down made a nice backdrop for the ceremony. I can say that because nobody got hurt in the fire and the PC police don't frown on jokes unless there was a death. Back to the topic at hand, it was a wonderful wedding and reception, and the bride and groom enjoyed their wedding presents afterwards.

I recommend researching each candidate and making your selections before you vote so you'll have informed choices instead of voting for who sounds familiar. I haven't yet decided on who I'm voting for, but I'll probably write in JOSEPH all the places I can.
Sitting in my living room I hear a loud car horn and a screech. I open my door to see a car with it's hazards on in the middle of the street. I'm thinking she has car trouble so I start walking towards her and she says "I love your car! Is it for sale?" Realizing she stopped in the middle of a busy road and almost caused an accident to see my car I was a little leery of getting close to her, but she marched right up to my Cougar and told me it was the best looking car she had ever seen. After she asked if it was for sale four more times I finally told her I'd sell it for $30,000, but that she could pick up a similar looking for for under $10,000 at a used car lot. That turned her excitement down slightly, but she couldn't stop staring at the car so I finally gave her a card from my
cougar club and told her that was the kind of car she wanted. She thanked me and got in her car and left. The whole scenario was unreal, but today was one of the days my webcam decided to go bonkers and capture every 30 seconds before shutting off at 7:00pm. The whole event was
captured on todays webcam at 6:55-7:00pm. This was easily the second best compliment I have ever recieved for my Cougar, the best being my Fiances reaction when she saw it on our first date. At least now I'll know who has my Cougar if it gets stolen in the next few weeks.
A recent discussion with
Duane brought up the topic of
PAR Files and how we both want to make love to the individual who invented them. Nothing was more frustrating than having 39/40 files of an archive with that last one being corrupt and unusable. There was nothing you could do! Then along came these mysterious PAR files which allowed you to RECONSTRUCT that missing file (or files)! It was nothing short of witchery and I now take them for granted. So today I salute you, Mr. PAR file inventor. You've saved me untold amounts of frustration and although I may continue to take your contribution for granted, at least I thanked you publically for your work.
After heading downtown to the Rostertail for a wedding yesterday, Missy and I saw the bridge to
Belle Isle. We decided to head there today since I can't remember ever going before. If you haven't been I highly recommend it. It's quite a contrast driving from Detroit into this huge island park, even moreso than driving into grosse pointe because the island doesn't have any rich people to sniff their noses at you. It was definately an adventure, and as you may see I had plenty of time for shameless glamor shots. I recommend bringing a picnic if you go, the single resturant on the island isn't exactly prime, but there are plenty of places to lay out a blanket and relax.

this news post. Proof positive people read my news. Just when you thought I was going to give up, I've found a reason to go on! Also, this update is for
