iOS 5 released today, and Enorym and the Senator were in full fanboy mode. As one of two WP7 fanboys, it was my duty to refute any claims of superiority despite a complete lack of compare points. The wars began with a smackdown from Enorym, followed by myresponse. Then enorym talked to himself and I went hands free, after which the war devolved into unrelated baseless claims of superiority. While each side will claim victory, the only conclusive result is that fanboys rule. Oh and Joseph (the other WP7 fanboy) chimed in about 3 hours later with nothing significant to add.
With much pomp and circumstance, I upgraded to 120 inches of Epson HC 8100 1080p goodness almost 2 years ago. Now, only 1120 hours into the life of the lamp, my Battlefield games have a new challenge of perpetual twilight. Currently the highest brightness setting for the projector gives an image that is almost passable, but it's clear death has come 3,000 hours early for my lamp. After checking the warranty, my lamp has indeed expired and I'm left with a $200 repair, or in the case of my cheap self a $125 knockoff eBay version. We'll see if the knockoff ends up beating the OEM's 1,000 life, I doubt it can do any worse.

I blame Ron for him personally buying the first projector on the planet therefore making you want one. Which means Ron owes you $200 /sarcasm Stavos
Why sarcasm? I suggest the hairy canadian heads to his local bank to exchange his monopoly money for 200 American dollars before we send in the troops Your NameMorlockPrime
Almost five years ago I was sucked into the Battlefield universe with Battlefield 2142. Late nights of battling with 3 other friends and the ability to revive fallen squadmates had me hooked. Little did I know the kool-aid would launch me into Battlefield 1943, Bad Company 2 and now Battlefield 3. Having received my beta invite on Xbox (and already played the alpha on PC) my anticipation is beginning to peak. How long until I get bored of the Beta map? Will I be as totally awesome at BF3 as I have been at the other BF games? (of course, silly question). Be still my heart, only 31 more days until release!

Where's the Diablo 3, Forza4, & Minecraft love? Sorry I couldn't resist! Stavos
In what has become possibly the fastest turnaround on a game for me, I completed 4-player co-op campaign in Gears of War 3 and already have it listed on eBay. We also slammed through the 50 levels of horde mode and 12 levels of the new beast mode. If it wasn't for 20 other games I want to play coming out shortly I might hold on to it and finish some more leveling and multiplayer. I credit Lila for my speed play, she was able to take over for bathroom and food breaks.

Do you enjoy the gaming or just the cheevos? You sound like a slave to the cheevo gods. Stavos
After years of anticipation, it finally happened. Tigerbomb Theatre is fully functional, sans an anamorphic lens that does some hiddley hoo to the aspect ratio. Despite not fully understanding the advantage of the anamorphic lense, I made a point to constantly remind Tigerbomb of it's absence, keeping him locked in a loop of sadness while I marveled at the final product. Joined by Whineyho and Gina, we witnessed 3D Tron Legacy, some other movie, and Back to the Future. Breaks were held between movies to allow the awesomeness to soak in, as well as consume hot dogs and chips. I'm proud to say I was one of the first to experience Tigerbomb Theatre, but I refuse to return until the fancy lens is in place.

Awww I wanted to witness the taking of the theatre virginity! And he completely skipped 2D and went straight for 3D eh? Stavos
Windows 8 Preview is out today for consumption. If you ever wondered what Windows 7, Windows Phone 7 and Xbox would look like bundled into a 4GB download wonder no more. It takes a while to get used to the fact that the Windows key now toggles you between "past" desktop and "future" metro style interface, but once you're on board you feel awesome. I'm happy my adoption of Windows Phone 7 has prepared me for the future, and no doubt Bill Gates will reward me handsomly. Judging by the overwhelming success of the sidebar for Windows 7, this new Metro shell should be another whiz-bang success.

So wait they made the desktop look like the phone interface? Sounds like something very simular.... Can't put my Apple errr finger on it. Stavos
Shortly after Google Power gave me the finger, my electric utility decided to blow some sunshine up my butt and give me a new advanced electric meter. Now both the government/secret nefarious agencies and myself will soon have access to my energy usage thanks to the upcoming SmartCurrent program. While so far I've only used the information to make kickass LAN party power usage graphs, I like to think that one day I'll actually use it in a more productive manner.
Not satisfied with just benchmarking my computer, I discovered a new way to compare mobile devices with my friends across platforms and operating systems. Enter Browsermark, which runs a group of performance tests that determine how fast you can run javascript. Clearly the speed of javascript parsing is enough to determine the worth of a device (and therefore the person who owns the device) so I proudly display my 22201 result and await confirmation I'm not as skilled in javascript parsing as my peers.
