Late invites for todays LAN party resulted in a lower-than-usual turnout, but still managed to provide ample entertainment. Beginning with Battlefield 2142, we eventually moved on to the new Unreal III beta demo, which had the same classic guns, but a controllable robot and naturally much better graphics. Moving to FarCry afterwards made the once mighty game appear very outdated. Once we were down to 4 people we switch to Xbox for quad split-screen multiplayer Halo III followed by extensive amounts of Sega Rally Evo, Forza2, and Guitar Hero II and III. Timelapse video here.

Definitely buying Crysis, Unreal III, and probably The Orange box. and Definitely NOT drinking a full 6 pack of Dew in a single sitting.

Hey R1ot what's that mod you had for HL2 where you can use the game physics and catapult your guy into the sky and stuff?

Picking up Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare tonight -- this is the BF2142 killer for me... Stats, ranks, upgrades, and much more strategic gameplay.

Only problem with the COD series is they are so linear. I like the BF series because you can go anywhere you want, and enter vehicles and such.

I've never played either... I fell so out of touch.. :-( What happened to our classic games of war guys?!?!?!?

Steve, CoD4 is much better than the previous ones... It's VERY realistic (Brad said he can't buy it because he'd have nightmares, lol)... Plus the world is much more open, and the advancement system blows BF outta the water. 7 different gameplay modes.
