Waking up to beeping UPS batteries at 4:49am is not pleasant, especially when you look outside and see the bright flashing of light that signifies the death of multiple transformers (the capacitor type, not the transforming alien robots). The 17 hour outage that ensued has convinced me it's time to rig my furnace to accept generator power. Since the generator only needs to power the blower and circuit board, it should be sufficient. An initial check with my Kill-A-Watt will confirm my theory. If this is my last post you can assume I electrocuted myself during the attempt. Here's a breakdown of the outage in case you want to imagine how cold my house got.
4:49am - Power flickers and dies
5:17am - UPS powers down server
5:48pm - Power returns, server starts
5:52pm - Power dies again
5:55pm - UPS powers down server
9:09pm - Power returns, server starts

I think you sabotaged the Transformer to get rid of us. R1OT |
It was Megatron, I tell you! Excelcier |
I thought wind was suppose to give you power not take it away. Stavos |
Time to buy one of these. Stavos |
You're lucky... our drummer lost power on Sunday afternoon and DTE says F.U. until Dec. 31st! Those of us lucky to live in the wilds of Brighton have been lucky so far: no power issues... or trees falling on buildings. Duane |
Luckly Redford was spared any power outages, and Brad was able to play Xbox at my house... Of course, once he left it took hours to get the hippy-stink out of the house... E1 |
Go figure when he moves away from Redford no more outages... He moves to the Hills...outages galore. Coincidence? I think not! Maybe Butt is a mini EMP and no one bothered to tell him. R1OT |
