A $10 rebate brought the price of some new hardware down to just under $100 during my Microcenter trip with the Senator. Originally purchased for upgrading my dads computer, the jerk son that I am decided to take the new hardware for myself and give him my old server hardware. While I've gone from two cores to one, the 300Mhz speed increase seems to more than compensate when it comes to the only processor intensive task on the server; thumbnail generation. And yes, it's embarassing to run a server on a Sempron, but until the AM2 Opterons drop to under $20 on eBay I'm willing to swallow my pride.
