After cheering my sister on in her 26.5 mile marathon I strolled through Fort and Griswold and stumbled upon this puzzling scene. Knowing there was no real police station in the area I immediately concluded it was a set for a movie. After asking a construction worker at the site he confirmed it's a set for the new Red Dawn with Chinese and Russians in the new version (instead of Cubans and Russians). The set looked awesome, and I'm proud to say my tax money helped pay for production. I just better get a free ticket out of it.

The only thing I can think that is worse then the Chiners & Russians invading Detroit would be the Canadians! What would the movie be called Maple dawn? Stavos |
Wow ouch!! I bet someone wont like that comment very much!! Kudos to Steve though, quite funny!! CANDY |
They were filming in Ferndale earlier... and didn't warn the residents that tanks might be coming down their street. I bet that made for some awesome 911 goodness. Would have been even better if commie tanks showed up in Howell without a heads-up. Duane |
I officially belch at Stavos as a pre-programmed response to Candy's comment. Excelcier |
Ron, you belch at a leaf blowing in the wind. Ironically even maple leafs. Stavos |
