With Windows 7 RTM finally downloaded and installed, I can once again be amazed at how well drivers are supported in this new OS. With only a small graphics card update from Windows Update, and absolutely no third party drivers needed, I'm up and running in less than 25 minutes from inserting the install disc to typing this update. The new default desktop background is a nice way to indicate the change to RTM but part of me misses the fish. I of course ran a full experience index rating which was identical to the RC (unsurprisingly). Now on to installing the 20 odd apps and programs to get me back to speed. Long live RTM!

I'm so happy for you B-rad, and even though I don't really give a rats ass about what you just posted, I'm gonna comment anyway cause my wonderful husband said I would have nothing to post so there haha Candy |

Wow Brad, I thought you would be a little quicker at adding blogs to you site, whats up with that? And if this is just another way to keep us girls from posting on our site, your wrong!! Candy |
No hard feelings if you block her Brad from your site. Stavos |
But you do live with her and your comment is recorded here. R1OT |
As the resident Mac whore, I must admit that Windows is finally a lot closer to what I expect from an OS. Built-in ISO burning is nice (too bad there's no built-in ISO mounting... like we've had in OS X since day 1), performance is much improved, and even my weirdo tablet/laptop hardware needed few 3rd party driver downloads. (Still no love for the 64-bit autotap drivers because they're unsigned.) I've updated my bootcamp partition too... odd how much better Windows 7 runs on my iMac than Vista. Next on the list are my media center PC and gaming PC (though my iMac runs games so well, I might just sell it.) Duane |
